Pressing on for the Kingdom

Well it has been a great season of activity in the ministry.
Highlights include speaking at the LWIC workers team meeting in Slough in April, preaching at my home church in May on Renewing the Mind, a mission trip to Romania and speaking at the Manchester Connect meeting for KCM.
All of these meetings were outstanding in their own right. However I do want to highlight the visit to Romania. This year marks 13 years that we have been visiting the Brasov/Halchiu area and I felt afterwards that it was one of the best and most rewarding times.
I have forged some new long term relationships with some other pastors in Brasov as well as having some closer spiritual covering for a pastor in Harman a village close to Brasov.
The most outstanding time was a 3 hour prayer meeting with a group of pastors from wide denominational backgrounds who had let go of their differences and met every week to pray, encourage and be vulnerable with each other. I had the chance to share with them just how special this group was. I charged them to keep pressing for the kingdom together and that breakthrough would come in their city and surrounding area.
They took this to heart and their prayers were strong and heartfelt. It was a privilege to be there. I had a sense that pastor Ovi, who I have a great friendship with and always takes good care of me, now has a much better peer support system than ever before.
We are now planning together to take a youth team out from my church in October to do an outreach in the villages. I am so excited about it.
In addition I took part in the second of three KCM Connect meetings this year. This time we visited Joel Taller’s church Faithlife in Manchester and had an outstanding evening. The congregation were enthusiastic and I preached a message on inclusive grace. I then prayed for and ministered to some and once again at least one person accepted the salvation call. God is good
We are now preparing for the LWIC conference in July with a theme of Courageous Love. I am speaking on the Saturday evening 27 July.
Julie and I are also visiting Matthias and Gabi Schmoecker in Prenzlau, Germany in August. We are so looking forward to seeing them as it has been a few years since we were last there. I am preaching on the Sunday.
Plans are at a good stage for my visit to Kenya in November and it looks like I will have a packed program while I am there.
